Hi, my name is laina
I’m Laina—a California and destination wedding photographer blending documentary storytelling with editorial elegance, crafted for the romantics at heart. For nearly a decade, I’ve had the honor of documenting love stories across the United States and beyond, from intimate weekends to grand destination celebrations. My work has been featured in PEOPLE, but the truest honor is the trust couples place in me to preserve their story with care.
Every couple’s journey is unique, and my goal is to artfully preserve fleeting moments that will be cherished for generations. More than photographs, I create visual heirlooms—images that embody the beauty, joy, and emotion of your once in a lifetime day.
Above all, I seek to honor the Lord in all I do, capturing the love He has so beautifully designed. It is with humility and gratitude that I step into each wedding, creating space for you to feel fully present, deeply seen, and beautifully remembered.

I love morning light, the color blue, heartfelt poetry, late-night kitchen-floor conversations, tight hugs, and music played from the heart. I find joy in the simple rituals of life—coffee in a teacup, walks by the sea, evenings with my husband, Austin. I’m endlessly inspired by Impressionist paintings, old black-and-white films, antique treasures, and the romance of the English countryside. I collect Blue Willow china, adore Audrey Hepburn’s timeless grace, and TYPICALLY find myself lingering in art museums or wandering antique-lined streets.
These pieces of me are not separate from my work—they shape it. My art is informed by faith, literature, beauty, and the quiet ways people feel like home. When I photograph you, it’s with that same lens of depth, nostalgia, and reverence for the fleeting.
